A fitness professional since 2006, Kimberly is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor in Chicago, IL. Along with teaching and training, she is also the founder and head coach of NJOY RACING, coaching triathletes and marathon runners from beginner to advanced levels.
As an athlete herself, Kimberly has traveled the globe competing in triathlons and road races of all distances from 5k to Ironman, placing and winning in numerous races. In 2011 Kimberly was part of Team USA and competed in the ITU World Championships in Beijing, placing 13th and top American in her division. She is sponsored and races for the Rev3 Triathlon Team, racing their North American Race Series and competing throughout Europe, Asia, North and Central America, seeking out some of thebest races throughout the world. Utilizing her background in Eastern Medicine Studies, she started her fitness career working with the Division One Varsity Athletes at Northwestern University with injury prevention stretching based on the principles of Eastern Medicine's 5 Element Theory. From 2006 to the end of 2011, Kimberly taught a variety of classes from cardio boot camp to joint mobility and stretching and swimming, indoor cycling and running for Equinox Fitness in the downtown Chicago Area. This is where she built a successful treadmill program utilizing time trailing, weekly intensity building and treating classes as a total program rather than a single serving class. From 1 runner once a week to 25 runners in 8 classes a week, "non-runners" were soon running their first half marathons. As a result of building a successful treadmill program, Kimberly was asked to join one of the most successful treadmill companies in the world, Star Trac Fitness. She currently teaches at Lakeshore Sport and Fitness as a Group Fitness Instructor. Since November of 2009 she has been part of the Star Trac Fitness Team where she took the roll as Star Trac Coach®, the running coach on their E-TRxe Treadmills (Awarded Best of the Best in the Industry 2012, Club Industry), running and coaching you through a variety of running workouts on the embedded, interactive screen of the treadmills. Kimberly is also a Master Trainer for their HumanSport® Functional Training Program, which offers REPS and ACE CEU's for personal trainers. In addition to the new Star Trac BoxMaster® Program which will be launched in 2014. With Star Trac Fitness, Kimberly has traveled throughout the world working at fitness expos and fitness facilities bringing education to not only trainers and staff, but also members. She is also a Master Trainer for Trigger Point® Performance, teaching the Level 1 Foam Rolling and Level 2 Myofacial Compression Technique® programs they offer. Kimberly has also been a Master Trainer since 2010 for the Schwinn Indoor Cycling Program, where she travels throughout the U.S. educating and teaching their comprehensive continuing education program.
