THE SKINNY ON FIT “I am fit and I don't workout at all.” …um…okay then. If you say so. So do you even know what it means to be fit? I have heard comments like this time and time again here in India. While I want to blame the lack of understanding on total innocence, I doubt this is the case. More than likely it is either ignorance or media. Media, yes. I will never forget the first advertisement I saw about ‘Total Health. Total Fitness.’ on a morning run down CG Road in Ahmedabad a couple years ago. I was at a loss. But this is what They want you to believe. Unfortunately, people believe advertisements like this all the time. Job Security for me, thanks to false advertising and an entire country buying into it…On the flip side, that also means a long hard hours of educating people on perception vs reality. To become FIT, one MUST EXERCISE
Being skinny or "normal" weight and not working out does not make you FIT What you see on the outside might appear to be a FIT person, however when cut open and looked inside could be a lot of store fat and atrophied muscles. Arteries built up with cholesterol and your pancreas not working effectively. This is not the body of a fit person. Internally very unhealthy. How do you wish to be defined?
